I would like to take this opportunity to introduce to you Doc’s Spring Fever Charity Classic Car Show, if you haven’t already been involved. The car show was created to help meet the needs of those less fortunate in the Belvidere/Boone County area. The Helping Hands network through Immanuel Lutheran Church and His Glory Christian Outreach Center work to help those in need. The Helping Hands Network is made up of volunteers that coordinate other local churches with the needs of people that request assistance such as furniture, rent money, prescriptions, coats, appliances, etc. All of these things are donated to the Helping Hands Network. His Glory Christian Outreach Center is an immediate care center helping provide milk, diapers, food, clothing, shelter, counseling, jobs and spiritual guidance for single mothers, homeless, those coming out of incarceration, or anyone in need. All of these things are donated or opportunities offered. You and I don’t see the needs of those less fortunate in the Belvidere/Boone County area like these two charities. We can only guess the impact that they have in the lives of these people.
