Re-Finishing FAQ's
Q: Can kitchen or dining room chairs be re-glued?
A: Yes. Any wood framed furniture finished or upholstered can be re-glued. In order to make it last we re-drill the doweling, remove the old glue, re-glue it then clamp it back together and allow it to dry thoroughly. Then the legs are re-leveled and nylon glides are put on the bottom of the legs to reduce friction on carpet, wood and tile floors.
Q: Can I change the color or finish on my wood furnishings to match the pieces I have?
A: Yes. Once we have determined if your pieces need to be stripped or over-stained the work begins. If stripping is needed once it is stripped of it’s old finish and lightly sanded, you will be contacted to come in to do a mock up on a drawer front or a leg of the piece with the stain you described. Or if you bring in part of a piece of furniture you are trying to match such as a drawer or a table leaf the stain can then be matched.
